We have just returned from yesterday's Motor Heritage Run, and here are the photos.

Thank you to all the people who turned up, despite the absolutely dreadful weather!

The spin in the wet by the MX5 was eventually diagnosed to rubbish tyres! It seems that Dunlop SP 200s are simply dreadful in the wet. The Triumph Herald was having problems half way round so that team jumped into another car for the rest of the run.

Not sure what the best car was on the run, close run thing between the Triumph Herald, the Ford Cortina, Jaguar XK or the Rover SD1 2300.

It's a bird! It's a plane! No! It's.... wtf?

BABE 2008 Group Photo on Day 2, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Day 2 is traditionally Costume Day. The 2008 theme is all about "Truth, Justice, and the American Way": Superman.

We are pleased to announce that StreetSafari will be holding a British Motor Heritage Run on Saturday 21st June, 2008.

PROVISIONAL TIME: 10.30 AM for 11AM start.

This is a FREE event, and is OPEN - i.e. for all vehicles - classics, family hacks, sports cars, anything. We will provide all taking part with a pack containing route details at the start point, and a photo challenge for anybody interested!

BABE2008, the third Big Apple to Big Easy Rally. Here is what happened and how it happened....

This event is coming of age, there is the routine, and from the routine comes a certain amount of order despite the event being the random madness that it is. There is logic in madness and it's called a US banger rally.

Team 4 Guys' 1955 Plymouth Belvedere

The event in the US was always a new concept. Its about taking the old car, and coaxing the last little bit of life out of it. Within the 50 teams that took part you could probably outfit a professional mechanic shop several times over. It doesn't mean that all the teams were crack mechanics, or that you have to be technically minded to enter. Its definitely an advantage, but in the true spirit of helping others, this is an event where you can reply on others, as aptly demonstrated several times.
