Calais2Casablanca 2008 Rocks the Kasbah (Wrap Article)

The 2008 objective was simple: smaller group, longer miles, tougher drive. With a schedule change came a shorter signup run and a purposefully smaller number of teams than we usually inflict on Europe. This made us able to accomplish more of what we wanted: keep a smaller group unified and engaged over a longer, far more challenging distance. Given the success of the 2008 modifications, Calais2Casablanca is now limited to 50 teams. text link

Calais2Casablanca became StreetSafari's longest event at 5 days, but after the first year an extra day was added. The 2007 season's driving was long and arduous. If the 2008 teams thought it would be any easier, they were seriously mistaken.

Staples2Naples Organisers Announce Euro-African Banger Rally Calais2Casablanca

Street Safari, organisers of the original European banger rally Staples2Naples, announce their fifth event, Calais2Casablanca, their first ever Euro-African motoring adventure. Like all StreetSafari events, participating teams must get their £100 cars across the finish line after several days of amazing driving and quirky challenges for cash prizes.

November 7, 2006 - Calais2Casablanca, from the organisers of industry leading annual events Staples2Naples, Home2Rome and CzechWrecks, descends through Europe in the late spring of 2007. Calais2Casablanca is the first StreetSafari event to entail two continents, breaking out of Europe to land in the culturally rich country of Morocco in Northern Africa.
