Classic Car Show UK 2010

Get ready for a really huge understatement: The Classic Car Show is a big show!

This is the premier show for classic cars (obviously) in the United Kingdom and StreetSafari does have a (tenuous) link to classic shows in that we wreck cars that will eventually become collectible. Quite simply, our activities thin out the numbers of car and in turn adds to the value of future classics - eg cars that don't fall into our clutches.

Vintage Car Hill Climb at Fleetwith Pike

StreetSafari is always looking for car related articles for the website, so if you do something car related and have the ability to write your thoughts down in a semi-coherent manner, preferably sober, and can take a good picture or two, then drop us a line and we'll probably publish it!

This weekend we went up to Honister Slate Mine to watch the Vintage Sports Car Club run their hill climb event.

The "Vintage" in their name should probably give away the age of these cars, which were built anywhere between the very early 1900s to around 1930.

Staples2Naples 2010 Wrap Article

Staples2Naples 2010 was a small affair. Previous years have seen much bigger groups, but small isn't a bad thing.

Transfagarasan Highway

As many of the StreetSafari regulars know, after CzechWrecks 2010 we did a recce to Romania and the Transfagarasan Highway.

CzechWrecks 2010 Wrap Article

CzechWrecks is StreetSafari's fourth Banger Rally of the year, and when you write the wrap article you have to ask yourself, where do you start? Thunderbird 4 probably, but we'll get to that in a moment.

This event was promoted in the Daily Telegraph back in 2009 when a charity team had a Telegraph journalist along as a team mate. Our event received some excellent coverage a few weeks later with front page and inside front cover of the Motoring Telegraph section. Talk about lucking out!

Staples2Naples 2010: Battle of the Nuns Video

It's been a few years since we've done a music video on the events (BABE Rally 2008 was the last) so in a moment of "Yeah, what the heck" we decided to have a bit of fun with the nuns on Staples2Naples.

Home2Rome 2010 Wrap Article

Home2Rome 2010 was always going to be a special event. It was the event that was getting the most signups for the 2010 season, had a large number of veterans (good fun element assured), and for some reason had its own energy.

There are some events that are destined to go down as classic events to be on, and this was most certainly one of them.
