Introduction

As with Home2Rome and Staples2Naples, the key to a good route is to get a good balance of roads. Street Safaris are about driving, after all. CRX takes in a couple of Swiss passes and the superb Stelvio Pass in Italy.
Most days there will be a challenge. These challenges are constantly being dreamt up. Usually in alcohol fueled drinking sessions. Things seem so much easier to work out after four pints. Or so.
The rally starts in Calais and finishes in Prague.
Check-in of pre-registered teams takes place in Calais on the evening prior to the official Start Day. Details are provided closer to the date of the event.
If you are unable to make it out on the Thursday evening please consult with the organisers as there is no official Friday morning check-in.
You must complete Check-In in Calais with all team members present to participate. No exceptions.
Day 1 - Calais to Interlaken

Interlaken rests among beautiful lakes and mountains, a strikingly different end to a day of French motorways.
This is a long run of around 520 miles, so don't hang around.
The challenge may well be an observation challenge so that you don't stop too much.
The key is to get to the end of the day in decent time. But remember! It's not a race, it's a rally! There are no points for getting anywhere first.
Day 2 - Interlake to Bormio

This is a long day, so again don't hang around. Repairs need to be quick.
Brakes and clutches are important during this day. The passes are unforgiving and you certainly don't want brake failure. If you car is having trouble on this day then you will have serious problems on Day 3.
The evening is in Bormio in Italy just below Stelvio.
Day 3 - Bormio to Salzburg

This is very hard on your car. We are talking 10/10 on the difficulty scale.
The east side of Stelvio will be very hard on the brakes.
If you are having any problems at this point consult with the organisers to find an alternate route.
There is an added treat as we continue on past the submerged town of Reiser and then on into Austria for a stopover outside Salzberg, yet another beautiful old city where almost everything is named after dead composers.

Oooooold towns.
The roads prove interesting. Definitely different. Hey! Different can be good. Test your driving and decision making skills when your options become dodging the strolling chicken or dodging the world's most amazing potholes.
The day shouldn't be too long, so you should be able to get into Prague in reasonable time. However, don't hang around if you can avoid it!
The end is in sight. Your car should be happy. And we bet you will be too!
